Dear Sir –

We have to day sent forward by Rail Road one case containing 200 Revolvers. Flasks implements & extra springs as agreed –marked –

“ J. B. Case Dr Jesse Bowen
Iowa City Iowa”

The case also contains 50 Maynard primers as ordered of which a bill is annexed.

The bill for Revolver etc has been sent to Geo. L. Stearns Esq as proposed.

We trust the above will come to hand in good time and condition, and that their may be no occasion for their service in securing rights which ought to be guaranteed by the principles of justice and equity. We have no fear they will be put to service in your hands for other purposes.-

P.S. The letter addressed to you at Albany was sent to no one’s care It simply bore your address viz. “Capt John Brown Albany N.Y.”
